Tholasso Bora Bora is an absolute dream!!

Here is our review of our stay at the Tholasso Intercontinental Bora Bora!

After two nights staying at the Le Moana, we headed the 5 star Intercontinental Tholasso for a few nights on their boat shuttle service! It is a quick 10 minute boat ride!

The Tholasso is truly paradise on earth you guys. It is located on the outer islet of Bora Bora which gives you the most insane view of Mount Otemanu from the whole resort and most importantly your private bungalow! The resort is secluded, private, quiet, spread out and has everything you need right there on their private island. It is breathtaking.

(Be sure to grab a seat on the left side of the plane on your flight from Tahiti to Bora Bora, for the best view heading into Bora Bora!!!! From the airport you take an Intercontinental boat taxi (paid), about 15 min ride to Tholasso from the airport, and the ride is amazing, my jaw was on the floor the whole time!!)

below are just a few of the beautiful views around the Intercontinental Tholasso!

RESORT TIPS

Something soooo amazing about this stunning resort is the private lagoons you can snorkel through on the resort, so many pretty little fish, with loungers on the sand (look below) can you even believe that! Snorkel gear is provided for you, grab some and walk over here to see so many beautiful little fishes ready to play! If you scroll back up to Zach’s drone shot you can see these little lagoons they are under the bridges. We had so much fun hanging out here.

The water in the lagoon is always so calm, we’d wake up and jump right in the water. We also paddle boarded and kayaked all through the lagoons!

The fact that it is on its own private island does mean that you have limited food options, if you read my Intercontinental Le Moana Bora Bora Hotel Review than you know how much Zach and I LOVE LOVE LOVE the buffet breakfast! Well this breakfast is even better than the last! I am honestly still dreaming of the homemade nutella… I kid you not it is that good! So I would highly recommend booking a rate that includes breakfast, or paying extra for it to be included. It is worth it.

As for lunch and dinner there are three restaurants on the resort Sands, Le Corail, and Reef. They are all delicious and of course offer the best views ever while eating your food but you are limited to those, not bad at all obviously just something to know when booking here. Oh and room service of course!:) If you want to switch it up, pack some snacks in your suitcase, or you can take a day trip to the main island and grab some snacks there for your stay!:) or you can do as we did and just eat from the delicious restaurants and room service.. hahah it can get pricy, so either budget it in, or do one of the other options I suggested!

Something very cool is that you can walk to the other side of the islet, there isn’t anything to do over there, it is harsh water but it is a very pretty walk through the resort to get there and to see the other side. in this drone shot above it shows how close the water is on the other side!! So sooo dang cool. You can walk over there and take little a private stroll!

EXCURSIONS

Intercontinental offers multiple excursions that you can book on site! We did an incredible excursion that included sharks, rays and the BEST snorkeling I have ever done to the coral reef gardens of Bora Bora! We chose the half day option.. the full day is the same thing except you continue on to eat lunch and relax on a small island. They pick you up right from your resort and drop you off there as well. It cost about $120 per person for our 4 hour tour. SO worth it. They provided drinks, water, towels and snorkel gear on the boat for you! There were three stops, first stop was sharks, second was sting rays and third was coral reef gardens! The tour took you around the whole entire island and back to your resort. Would 100% recommend doing this!

You can book this excursion while staying at both of the Intercontinental resorts! I will share these pictures now because OMG!!!!!!! it was amazing.

FIRST STOP SHARKS

YES there were a lot of sharks and I almost didn’t get in hahah everyone from our boat (there were 8 people total) was in the water already when I finally decided I had to do it!!! and Zach was the first one in hahah of course.. he has no fear hahah! It was so worth it. The guide is amazing, has a life raft out there helping if you need and makes you feel very safe!

SECOND STOP STINGRAYS

The stingray stop was a lot easier to get in, the water is waist deep! You can easily touch the ground and the boat is right there in case you decide you don’t want to do it anymore :) The stingrays are friendly and there are a lot of them in the water. The water is crystal clear and honestly it’s was just fun!

THIRD STOP CORAL REEF GARDENS

INCREDIBLE. that’s literally all I can say. The coral reef gardens were beautiful and I LOVE BORA BORA was written in rocks on the bottom of the ocean! Literally hundreds of fishies swimming around in the actual most royal blue gatorade water ever hahaha it was so much fun! best snorkeling I have ever done by far.

we stayed in the Diamond Otemanu Overwater Villa, it was absolutely amazing guys!! Literally just a dream, you had a panoramic view of Mount Otemanu throughout the whole bungalow! From out bed, the living room, the stunning modern bathroom with a tub overlooking the crystal water and view, a large shower and closet to stay organized during your stay! I am telling you I felt like I was in a dream waking up there.

Next I need to show you… THE BRANDO!!!

The one and only Brando Suite, double story villa with a completely private infinity pool and your own dock/coral reef snorkeling! If you are headed with another couple or a group of people… splurge and get this villa! It is STUNNING, unbelievable, gorgeous, and amazing!!! hahah There are two full sized king size bedrooms, with a luxury bathroom for each, as well as a loft and a very spacious living area.

Welcome to the Le Moana Intercontinental Resort // Bora Bora

The Facks Hotel Review

Oh my goodness! Bora Bora is an absolute dream!! I am beyond excited to share allll the details about our trip with you guys!

Starting off with a review of our stay at the Le Moana Intercontinental Resort!

I always get so dang happy and excited when we land in a new place! Traveling with Zach is so much fun, we stayed at three different resorts while we were there! This blog highlights Le Moana Intercontinental!

Traveling to Bora Bora is not the most easy travel day but it is definitely worth it. Starting in Utah we had a short hour and a half flight to San Fransisco, layover here, then we hopped on our 8 and a half hour flight from San Fransisco to Papeete, Tahiti. From here you have to stay overnight in Papeete, because flights from here to Bora Bora always leave in the mornings. Tahiti Airport Motel is literally across across the street from the airport and is where we always stay. There is also an Intercontinental Tahiti resort you can stay at, it is a 5 minute drive from the airport. The flight the next morning is a very quick 45 minute flight and it is beautiful!

Be sure to grab a seat on the left side of the plane for the best view heading into Bora Bora!!!!

From the airport you take an Intercontinental boat taxi (paid), about 30 min ride to Le Moana, and the ride is amazing, my jaw was on the floor the whole time!!

We spent two nights at the Le Moana Intercontinental and let me tell you… it is such a beautiful place to stay! Especially if you’re looking to get to explore more of the local side of Bora Bora easily and an beautiful overwater bungalow experience on a budget, without missing out on every thing that entails! Le Moana is one of two of the Intercontinental Resorts on Bora Bora! With incredible water and so many fish and coral reef right off your deck it is literally a Bora Bora dream you guys. We spotted stingrays everyday swimming right under our bungalow!!

also, small Bora Bora tip, we traveled in November which is Bora Bora’s off season, had a two rainy days total during the week of rain but only for part of the day, and for me I am fine with that because those are still the best things in Bora Bora I think ahaha so fun!!

This little glass box is in your room! you can see beautiful fish and coral swimming right underneath you!! and in my view includes cute Zach and my lil brother Jake who came along on the trip with us!!:) The top of the table can also be removed, and is beautiful at night, the light under the villa and the coral reefs bring a lot of fun fish! The room has a living area, bedroom, bathroom, and lounge deck with a seating area and lounge chairs!

LE MOANA LOCATION

Le Moana is located on the lower end of the main island instead of the outward islet like almost all other resorts on Bora Bora, you can see the outer islet resorts in my airplane shots. It is one of the only resorts on Bora Bora located on the main island!

This makes it really fun and easy to explore the surrounding area. It is walking distance to a market, and other restaurants and the beautiful Matira beach! You get to experience a bit more of Bora Bora island life while staying here. That was something we did love about the location of Le Moana. We walked to the cutest, and yummiest pizza restaurant called, The Lucky House Restaurant. Yummy pineapple pizza and pina colada’s:) literally next door to the resort, and even has a small pool hang out spot at the restaurant. There are also multiple restaurants nearby that you can try as well! I included this little map so you can see where Le Moana is located! Right down there at the bottom of the island at the tip of Matira! It is 7km from Vaitape, the only town in Bora Bora, there are several small road side locals selling hand made souvenirs, I got a cute necklace!

There is a small grocery store very close by that we would walk to and bought snacks during our stay. Very great way to save on money while you’re there! We loved grabbing a few things for our lunches at the grocery store and eating lunch on our villa lounge chairs! There are atv, jet ski rentals available in the town, as well as drivers you can hire if you’re wanting to head out and explore!

RESORT TIPS

One thing I would for sure recommend is to include the breakfast in your stay!!! It is by far our favorite meal of the day! Buffett breakfast, I am obsessed with the nutella crepes and all the fruit! mmmm mm good! It’s worth it! For some rates breakfast is included!

Le Moana has two restaurants on the resort and they offer traditional Polynesian dance performances and buffet nights that are very fun to be a part of! Even if you don’t decide to buy a dinner plate, go watch the performance! It is alway so so much fun to watch!

Kayaks, snorkel gear, paddle boards etc are all at the resort and free to use! Grab some snorkel gear and swim out just a little for a lot of awesome coral reef and fish!! So incredible!

So now, just picture being sun kissed with a little burn, you head back to your bungalow, unobstructed quiet views, you shower off, get ready for dinner and then with ocean air dried hair, you take a stroll along the bungalows and beach as the sun sets over the water! I promise you, there honestly is nothing like it.

Photographing UCA College Nationals!

BTS of documenting UCA College Nationals!

I’ve been documenting Varsity events for five year now and this is Zach’s second year joining me in Orlando!! It’s freaking so awesome having him be there with me! He never got to see me cheer , because we met after I was done! So sad, but him coming to these with me let him get a really good glimpse into what my whole entire world was growing up! haha

Cheerleading is a beautiful, crazy, hard, exciting and sparkly and all the things! It’s such a crazy sport, you work all year for 2 minutes and thirty seconds. You get one shot!! what! covering these events is SO much fun! You just want all the teams to hit and do their best! I honestly get emotional so many times throughout the day haha this was my life! and I feel it all! the fans screaming behind me for their sister, brother, daughter, friend! teammates yelling for each other, the deep breathes right before the routine starts, living real time watching these athletes finally get to where they have been working for all year!! and the rush of emotion that builds and then explodes when you realize you hit your routine!!I I am not kidding it gets me every time. I love every bit of it. I love documenting it. I love being a part of these.

and above all I love being here with Zach and watching him experience it all! makes me tear up !

he is the best partner in crime

here are a few pictures we captured this weekend that I love!

The emotion. You can see the work they have put in all year for this moment, you can see the dedication, hard work, and LOVE for the sport and for their team! ahhh let’s see if they get you like they get me!!

College Cheer.JPG

ALSO.. cant be in Orlando without stopping by disney worlddd am i right?! My sister Sarah, her husband Connor and their baby Zuri , as well as my momma all came this weekend as well to watch my little sister Jenni compete! That was a freaking awesome added bonus to such a fun weekend!

EIFFEL IN LOVE

CELEBRATING ONE YEAR IN PARIS

AF__8570.jpg

oh this dreamy place..:)

Zach and I spent our 1 YEAR anniversary in Paris in September and honestly couldn’t think of such an amazing and perfect way to spend our first anniversary!! I love this city, I love this hunk of metal behind of aka Eiffel Towerrrrr and I freakin love Zach. 1 year and quite honestly it’s been the best. I’ve heard people say funny and weird things about the first year of marriage and from me to you, all honesty, don’t believe the people that tell you the fist year is the hardest, or that you fight a lot or whatever. It’s the literal best. obviously everyones experience is different. but like you get to have a 24/7 best friend, cuddle buddy, adventure buddy, lover, shoulder to bawl on;) haha and this person loves everything about you. Somehow everything you experience is better, and the things you get to experience with him that you had already done before, you have a whole new perspective and love for.

You start to build memories together!! Which I think it my favorite part, the memories, and now that its been a year we look back on when we were first married and see us. Instead of looking back at life a year ago and seeing a time of life that may have been hard or hurt, I see me and Zach, and our memories from a year ago. so special! I’m about to cry thinking about that. ahaha so cheesy. but I’m cheesy so its chill:) anyways. I know this is the start to a Nicholas Sparks love romance book haha but it’s the truth, its my truth:)

Zach and I had both been to Paris before, but we hadn’t been together. I fell in freakin love with Paris in 2017 when I went with my bff Haley!! big S/O to Haley:)! literally fell in love! and Zach knows how I talk about this place with the dreamiest eyes ever. I just love it, Paris has a piece of my heart for sure.

Going together for the first time was a lot of stinkin’ fun:) We did all the tourist things, found quiet corners and hidden gems and fell in love with each other all over again. hah like I said I am cheesy but I speak from the heart always and my heart of full of love! especially for Zach! You can just us running around Paris on scooters each with our big cameras, big smiles and just living life.

life with Zach is better than I could’ve ever imagined.

I’ll be sharing a lot more from this amazing trip so be on the lookout:)

thanks for reading!
